About our cricket club

Welcome to the Wollaton CC page.

We are determined to be an inclusive club, welcoming and nurturing would-be cricketers of all ages and backgrounds. But currently we don’t have enough space to host all our teams here in Wollaton. That’s why this year we have set an incredibly ambitious of target of raising £15,000.

Why £15,000? Our target is part of a drive to raise funds towards a fantastic new cricket facility here in Wollaton at Fernwood School. We’re working on the project with the school and the ECB, and if we succeed it will mean that more of our junior and senior teams will be able to play and train locally, giving us all more opportunities to play. The new facility will have a three-lane artificial net facility, an Astroturf wicket, and a five-lane grass square. It will give more of our members the chance to play competitive league cricket and enjoy a quality playing experience locally.

We also need funds to keep the club running, maintain it and support our ambitious teams. The Wollaton Saturday First XI are aiming to win the Nottinghamshire Premier League in the next two seasons. This would be a huge achievement for a village club where most of the players have come through the junior section.

For every ticket purchased, you will have a chance to win a prize and 100% of your ticket purchase will come direct to Wollaton CC!
