About our cricket club

Welcome to Murton CC page. Our club is excited to be taking part in Toyota Good For Cricket Prize Draw, to raise much needed funds and give you, our supporters the opportunity to win big prizes.

Over the winter we have been refurbishing our bar and changing rooms to make our pavilion more inclusive, safer from anti social behaviour and to enhance the facility offer for our members and community. A key element of the project was to create two additional changing rooms dedicated to women and girls

We are now raising money to complete this project and an internal refurbishment of a score box. We need to purchase furniture and fixtures to finish the decoration of a 5 changing rooms, install new digital display screens and infrastructure to allow us to pass on information to members and increase our marketing opportunities that allow us to bring in more revenue to make us sustainable as a club. We also need to clad internal walls, lay floors and build storage shelves in our score box.

Finally we need to install a new CCTV system throughout the club to deter and prevent anti social behaviour. This installation is key to helping us to create a positive learning environment for the 80 girls and boys who love playing cricket at Murton

We are located in a deprived area and our volunteers work extremely hard to bring in sufficient funds each year that allow us to offer cricket at a low cost, making it accessible to all
