About our cricket club

Welcome to Heathcoat CC page. Our club is excited to be taking part in Toyota Good For Cricket Prize Draw, to raise much needed funds and give you, our supporters the opportunity to win big prizes.

As supported may be aware, on 20 June we were able to share a very exciting announcement in respect of our pavilion rebuild:

We are incredibly pleased and excited to announce that the National Trusthave approved plans for our pavilion rebuild.

Since the start of the year, the Committee have been working closely with the National Trust to develop plans to allow us to rebuild our club house that we lost to a fire in August 2024. Working with the Trust and revised England Cricket Board guidance, we have approval to submit plans to Mid Devon District Council for a pavilion 4.23m longer than the previous structure. This will allow for the inclusion of additional changing facilities to accommodate the growth of ladies and girls cricket, and to continue to support our growing junior section and club.

Club Chairman, Dean Edwards, who has led the discussions in conjunction with Savills says, “we are very grateful for the support we have received from the National Trust during this period of discussion. The plans approved by the Trust secures the future of cricket in Tiverton at the Knightshayes ground, and will allow the facilities to once again return to one of the best, if not the best, in Devon. We hope the planning process will be smooth and that building can commence as soon as possible”.

The proposed reconstruction will not change the external aesthetic or materials used from the original construction and will once again be a timber frame, clad with timber sourced from the local area. As seen from the images below, the pavilion will be almost identical to that lost in the fire, and will incorporate a number of internal updates to continue to meet the club's day to day needs.

For every ticket purchased, the proceeds of which will go towards the club and rebuild, you will have a chance to win a prize and 100% of your ticket purchase will come direct to Heathcoat CC!
