About our cricket club

We Need Money (Again). But This Time, You Could Win a Car.

Alright, gather round, folks.

After accidentally winning Active Stirling Club of the Year in 2025, we thought we were a shoo-in for 2026. On the night, our Chair gave a deeply emotional acceptance speech, proudly holding the trophy aloft.

It all got a bit awkward when we had to gently persuade him to hand it over to the actual winner.

Keeping this well-oiled machine running takes more than just fancy awards we didn't win and glitzy events we're now banned from.

That's why we've signed up for the Toyota Good For Cricket Prize Draw again.

Here's a quick recap of what our elite [cough] team of exhausted volunteers have actually been up to over the last year:

Coached 800+ school kids across Doune, Dunblane, and Callander. (Yes, we now have 800 children who field better than our 1st XI).
Launched Walking Cricket for those who still love the game, but whose knees have officially retired.
Prioritised Mental Health by partnering with Movember to host a youth mental health workshop. (We did consider doing full Movember, but half our players would have needed to start growing their moustaches in January).
Levelled Up Our Coaching: We now boast 11 qualified coaches, including our very first ICC Level 1 graduate. Look at us being all professional.

Why do we actually need your cash? Running a proper community club isn't cheap. Cricket balls don't buy themselves, the lawnmower is held together by duct tape and prayers, and we want to keep kit accessible for our Junior, Senior, and Womens teams without charging an arm and a leg.
